One of the most decked out walk through displays that you can check out in the Philadelphia area is the Tinseltown Holiday Spectacular. (As of right now, it appears that this event is closed. I will update if they release any new information.)
Here are some other places that you may want to check out for the holidays if you are in the Philly region.

This post reviews the previous years from when it was hosted in Oaks, Pennsylvania.

In my humble opinion, one of the best times of the year in Pennsylvania is the holiday season. I will say that the Philadelphia area does go all out with it, and we love checking out the different light displays, and various Christmas villages too. Personally the holidays are pretty busy for us, but on a whim last year, we had a free night, so we decided to check out Tinseltown.

As we walked into the event, we were amazed at the sheer amount of dazzling lights. It felt like the area was a dense cake filled with shimmer, and it definitely put my husband and I into a holiday spirit immediately! Previously, I have seen light displays where the decorations are spaced far apart, and that makes you walk or drive a decent distance between them. The nice feature about Tinseltown is that everything is pretty close together.

We especially loved how many of the lights were Philly themed with an emphasis on our local sports teams. On that note, if you are a fan of the Philadelphia hockey team the Flyers, our team mascot Gritty will be at Tinseltown for holiday photos if you are interested. (We absolutely love Gritty, and we think he is the absolute best, and such an awesome character for Philly!) You will need a special ticket to see Gritty, and he will be there on Friday nights in December. Photos with him are on a first come, first serve basis.

If you are interested in ordering food while you are at this event, they do have a Tinsel Lodge which has a variety of items including their famous “Scrooge Philly Cheesesteak” and delicious warm beverages such as warm cider and hot chocolate. Mrs. Claus also has a reading room where she tells of holiday tales to children, and every Friday professional choirs will be on location to entertain with a variety of holiday songs. If you enjoy ice skating, there is a rink here as well! There are also two lane ice slides that are 160 feet in length (about 49 meters.) If you are searching for the perfect holiday gift for friends and family, you will want to check out the Mistletoe Marketplace which features local artisans and businesses.

If you are visiting or live in the Philadelphia area, I highly recommend checking out Tinseltown. It is a great location for so many holiday themed activities, and you could enjoy the area for several hours at least. This is a wonderful spot for people of every age, and it will definitely put you in the holiday spirit! Let me know in the comments if you have ever visited Tinseltown and what you thought of it. I hope that you are having a wonderful day, and remember to click the like and subscribe button!

The more that we explore new places, the more important it is to wear safe hiking gear, and of course hiking boots. I really love my hiking boots because they feel super cozy, warm, flexible, and of course the most crucial element of all for safety is that they are non slip! When I have gone hiking for hours at a time, they are really comfortable, which is great when you are traveling on the road.
